My journey in education began as a Montessori teacher, where I spent six years building a strong foundation in child-centered learning. I then went on to teach in the public school system for 20 years, followed by four years in a private school setting. These experiences have allowed me to work with a wide range of learners and understand the many different ways children grow and succeed academically.

I am a Florida certified teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Florida. I am also a certified Montessori teacher and was a National Board Certified Teacher for 10 years.

Over 20 years ago, I was trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading instruction and have used this structured literacy method ever since to support students who benefit from clear, step-by-step learning. In addition to classroom teaching, I have tutored numerous students in a variety of subjects and have experience completing homeschool evaluations for families.

I also bring extensive experience in curriculum planning and mapping for individual students, classrooms, schools, and districts. I enjoy helping families create thoughtful learning plans that meet their child’s needs and provide confidence in their homeschool journey.
